A stroke from atrial fibrillation is no fate.
There is an efficient therapy to prevent a stroke from atrial fibrillation, which is anticoagulation of the blood. Clinical trials show a stroke risk reduction of up to 70%.
If nevertheless a stroke happens ( there is no 100% risk reduction), the severity will be strongly reduced in the presence of adequate blood anticoagulation.
Strokes accompanied by atrial fibrillation show the severest consequences.
